Closing a sale happens at the end of the whole sales process. So you have laid everything out and you know your product and service is a rockstar.

So you need to be confident. When you ask for the close, don’t be nervous and act desperate.

You know that they need you and they know that you need them. So it’s just a matter of a few things to get it closed.

Be Aggressive

When you’re first learning about sales, a lot of places tell you not to be aggressive as a salesman. 

But if you keep listening to that advice you will never be able to take your sales skills to the next level. 

Like mentioned before you have already laid out everything. 

This is the time to be a little aggressive and push them to buy your product or service. 

If you just wait for people to decide and not be aggressive, you will never close a sale. 

Now being aggressive does not mean that you are always pushing for them to buy from you. 

Being aggressive also means asking questions in a way that makes it seem like they need to purchase from you. 

For example, if they say that they need to ask their wife to buy this from you then you can say something like “do you want to ask for permission or for forgiveness.”

If they say something like they’re not ready for this product, you can ask them a question like “do you not want to make more money?” 

It’s not about pushing them directly into closing the sale with you but doing it in a way that slowly pushes them in that direction.

Give Them An Ultimatum

People do not buy when they are comfortable. 

One of the biggest reasons why someone buys a product or service from you is because they are scared to lose out. 

You can use this to your advantage. 

Let them know that it is now or never. 

For example, you can tell them that if they do not sign up for this training right now, it will not be offered for the next six months so your competitors who already signed up for it will be ahead of you in the next six months. 

Or you can let them know that if they buy from you today this is a discounted price and after you leave their office or hang up the phone the price is going to double or triple. 

If you create scarcity and give them an ultimatum, they are more likely to close right then and there.
